Fight Hunger at Home on Giving Tuesday

Tuesday, December 1st is Giving Tuesday! For us, it’s not just a day – it’s a Movement. Giving Tuesday takes on even more importance for hunger relief organizations like Million Meal Moment as we rise to meet the demand of food insecurity as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The numbers are staggering. Fifty-four million people may experience food insecurity in 2020, including 18 million children.  Two in 5 visitors to food pantries are there for the first time. Demand for services are up, with Indiana’s food banks, pantries and community kitchens serving 70,000 Hoosier families per week.

The numbers are heartbreaking. But together we can take action.

We believe everyone should be able to hunger for something greater than their next meal. You can help us fight hunger at home this holiday season by putting warm meals on Hoosier tables.

Our goal, beginning on Giving Tuesday and continuing through the end of the year, is to provide 14,800 nutritious meals to Hoosier families. Since 2007, we’ve provided over 30 million meals to feed families, children, veterans, the elderly and the food insecure throughout Indiana. We’ll continue to do so during the COVID-19 pandemic – but we need your help.

Here are 3 ways you can help support our Giving Tuesday campaign:

  1. Send 75 meals to a local food pantry with a gift of $25
  2. Host a Facebook fundraiser for Million Meal Movement
  3. Pack meals with us at one of our Holiday Meal Packing Events.

Let’s fight hunger at home together this Giving Tuesday!
