MLK Day of Service Community Pack

This Martin Luther King Day, honor Dr. King’s legacy by coming together (safely) through service to our community. Join us on Monday, January 18th from 5:30 – 7 pm to make a difference for hungry Hoosiers. This positive, safe, hands-on volunteer opportunity is family-friendly and engaging for kids aged 6 and up.

While there is no cost to participate, Million Meal Movement relies on the financial contributions to help cover the cost of food at packing events. We strongly encourage participants to donate what they can. Cash, credit and Venmo donations will be accepted at the door.

Additional Information:

The packing event is limited to 35 people with a goal of packing 10,000 meals. The mission of our community packs is to give kids, families and small groups the opportunity to volunteer. For large groups and corporate packing opportunities, please visit our Sponsorship page.

We’re following strict guidelines for social distancing and personal protection measures. Million Meal Movement is operating under a “Bring Your Own Mask” policy. If you have access to a medical-grade or fabric mask, please wear that to volunteer; If you do not, please bring a scarf or other fine fabric that can be tightly wrapped around nose and mouth. The Million Meal Movement will provide gloves. A hand-washing station will be mandatory for all participating, and commonly touched surfaces will be properly sanitized by staff before and after each volunteer shift.

Show your support and encourage others to follow the Movement by purchasing our official t-shirt at a discounted price when you register online for a pack! Profits from shirt sales go directly back to Million Meal Movement’s hunger relief efforts. Shirts are available in sizes XS through XL with a choice of crew neck or v-neck.
